Our daughters loved feeding the sheep. It was an excellent base for our day trips. It was cosy, and perfect for our needs. We loved the fireplace and the lovely touches - books, games, dvds, folded towels, well appointed kitchen. Just like coming home every night.

Hide Away is a charming rustic cottage where the owners have gone the extra distance to ensure the comfort and enjoyment of their   guests. The many thoughtful additional touches were much appreciated. It is also the most child friendly establishment I have come across, with abundant activities for both indoor and outdoor entertainment provided.

Loved our stay. The cottage was beautiful and very cosy, quiet and with no neighbours apart from the sheep. Our hosts were extremely helpful and welcoming while respecting our privacy. Hope to come back one day - this time for longer than 5 days.

You won't regret choosing this place! We had a wonderful time. The cottage was quiet, cosy and had everything we needed. The owners have thought of so many little things to make your stay great. We especially loved having a fireplace and wood supplies left outside the door each day. Sue and Derek are friendly and so fantastic to deal with, both before we arrived and while we were there. You'll love it!

"Wish we could have stayed longer. A wonderful couple of days spent here at the end of a long touring holiday of Tasmania. Our two young children rated it the best place ever. The hospitality is second to none and everything we needed and so much more was here for us. Sue's homemade soup on our last night was a godsend after a big day out exploring. Can't wait to come back and experience it in the winter."

A wonderful combination of the romantic and the family friendly. As a family of 2 adults and 5 children, we were able to really enjoy this very pleasant cottage and grounds. Our hosts were very thoughtful and considerate, and we had a lovely week to round off our 5 week Tasmanian holiday, having saved the best place for last.

Family of 5 stayed for 4 nights, could have stayed forever. Cottage, clean comfortable and fireplace most appreciated. Although not far from Burnie centre, cottage was remote enough to feel that you were on a semi-farm. Children enjoyed facilities offered and animals that visited at times. Hosts excellent, nothing to much trouble for them to do or explain to us. Just heaven. Great place to chill and relax with family.
